What We Can and Cannot Do

What Cielo can do:

• We can pay for trade, technical, and vocational training, and certificate/licensure programs.
• We can fund up to $10,000 in tuition and educational fees/materials.
• We must pay training costs directly to training institutions.
• We can work with individuals who don’t qualify for traditional FAFSA grants, including individuals without documentation.
• We can work with any high-quality training provider in good standing. We are not limited by accreditation standards.
• In some cases, we can assist with purchasing necessary supplies or technology directly from a company or vendor.

What Cielo cannot do:

• We cannot give money to individuals or non-training entities.
• We cannot pay for transportation, room and board, or other costs associated with training.
• We cannot pay for general education courses – university, recreational, or otherwise.
• We cannot pay past-due balances at training institutions.
• We cannot pay for part of any training program that will require significant loan debt for the student.
• We cannot pay towards a four-year degree.
